A disabled parking space has been blocked for three weeks on Eltham High Street by an abandoned van.
The bay is occupied by an abandoned silver van with a smashed windscreen and expired license, opposite Eltham Library.
A woman who lives in the area and who has a disability said she has “repeatedly reported” the problem to Greenwich Council, but they “have done nothing about it.”
The 63-year-old has a blue badge herself.
She told the News Shopper: “There aren’t enough disabled bays near the shops and this one is right outside the library, making it even more valuable.
“It seems the council don’t know what to do about it so they’re ignoring it.”
The van’s MOT, and tax license expired in March this year - making it illegal to drive.
It has a disability parking license which is valid.
A spokesperson for Greenwich Council said: "We are aware of the vehicle in question and are following the appropriate process.
"This vehicle was recently inspected, and a disabled badge is visible.
"We will therefore undertake all reasonable enquiries before removing the car, including contacting its registered keeper.
"We will remove the vehicle ourselves if we receive no response."
