As a bit of a sucker for poke bowls, I’m always up for trying new ones, and London is definitely the best place to do so.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Poke House is definitely my favourite.

Granted, I haven’t tried every single poke bowl and shop across the capital, but of the ones I have, Poke House wins my heart and my taste buds.

They have shops all across London, and the Hawaiian cuisine is fully embodied in each store’s cool, pink vibe.

I visited the Poke House in Portobello Road recently, and the colourful nature of the food fits right in with Notting Hill’s colourful houses.

I hadn’t been to this one before, and am usually a regular in the Covent Garden one, but like the others the Portobello store is refreshing, and so is the food, and you always feel good after having been in.

My friend and I fancied a day out in Notting Hill because of the array of shops, lovely walks, fun atmosphere and nice food.

We started with a nice walk, and a mooch around the markets, and then we quickly got hungry and stopped off at Poke House.

It’s right in the heart of Portobello, and it’s pink exterior means you really can’t miss it.

We both chose to make our own bowls, which is a great option for fussy eaters like me.

You can pick small, medium, or large, and there is a huge variety of protein and veg to create the perfect bowl.

I usually go for salmon and tuna, with a mix of white rice, kale, edamame beans, sweetcorn, sweet potato, mango, tomatoes, avocado and an avocado cream sauce.

My favourite ingredient is definitely the mango, and it’s always so fresh.

My friend had salmon and prawn with kale and rice, and she boasted about how light yet filling it was, and how refreshing it was to eat really good, fresh fish.

The weather was really sunny, so to have something refreshing was important to us.

We also had some Poke House cookies for dessert, and to be honest really didn’t want to leave.

It was realxing, gave off holiday-vibes, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The food is more-ish, fresh, colourful, healthy, and oh-so-tasty.
