There is no denying that us south east Londoners know how to have a great night out.
Nowadays we have the likes of Golden Lion and George Staples which are always busy on Friday and Saturday nights.
But do you remember some of the classic pubs such as the Chequers in Belvedere, the Bricklayers Arms in Bexleyheath, and the Duchess of Edinburgh in Welling.
To bring back some memories, we used ClosedPubs.co.uk, to compile a list of the pubs that have closed over the years in Bexley.
The Chequers in Belvedere
The Chequers was located in Picardy Road, Belvedere, and has now been converted into flats.
It reportedly closed its doors in 2007.
The Bricklayers Arms in Bexleyheath
The Bricklayers Arms was located at 58 Mayplace Road West, Bexleyheath.
This pub is now being used as a restaurant/takeaway.
The Woodman in Bexleyheath
The Woodman was located at 70 Watling Street, Bexleyheath. It was demolished in 2014 for it to be converted into flats.
The Harrow in Erith
The Harrow was located in Northend Road, Erith. The pub closed in 2008 and has since been demolished.
The Nordenfelt in Erith
The Nordenfelt was located in Erith Road on the corner with Riverdale Road in Erith. It closed in 2008.
The Duchess Of Edinburgh in Welling
The Duchess Of Edinburgh was situated in Upper Wickham Lane, Welling. This pub closed 2011 and is now used as a Tesco Express.
