Four men have been convicted after a knife fight broke out in Selfridges on Oxford Street.

Two rival gangs were in the designer store at around 7.30pm on May 8, 2021, the court heard.

Bryan Carvalho, 22, was shopping with his brother on the first floor when he bumped into Ryheem Lindsay, 20.

Whilst speaking it became apparent to both groups that they were rivals and Lindsay grabbed Carvalho close to his chest and punched his brother.

This soon descended into a mass brawl and during the gang fight Carvalho was stabbed in the leg by Lindsay. Lindsay was also stabbed in the leg at some point.

The men threw mannequins at each other across the store, and used ropes and knives to threaten each other.

The brawl continued into the toilet corridor where Carvalho was pushed to the floor and men including Andre Deer, 20, punched him while he was on the ground.

Innocent bystanders watched on until the fight eventually came to an end and they left the store.

Firearms officers rushed to the scene and spotted Deer and Jevani Best, 23, in a car near the store.

Lindsay, identified through DNA testing from a phone dropped at the scene, handed himself into custody.

Deer and Best, both from Haringey, were found guilty of violent disorder.

Carvalho, from Haringey, was found guilty of violent disorder and carrying an article with a blade or point.

Linsday, from Islington, was found guilty of violent disorder, wounding with intent and carrying an article with a blade or point.
