With it being Mother's Day today, families across south east London are celebrating their mum.

The day gives us the perfect opportunity to take some time to appreciate our mums on this day.

On our Facebook page, we asked our readers to comment a message to their mum and we received some truly touching responses.

Julie Doyle said: "Miss you every day, my angel in heaven."

Sally Lawrence added: "Miss you more everyday, love you so much."

Lisa Rose had an emotional message for her mum, she said: "Miss you and love you.

"Sorry i was that stroppy teenager when you passed.

"Wish I could have been better."

Julie Clare said: "Wish she was here I miss her so much, R.I.P."

Nick Johnson has been away from his mum for seven years but is still thinking of her today.

He said: "To my beautiful loving Mum, I'm sure we will see each other this year after a seven year gap.

"Sending love from Australia."

June White said: "Hi mum, I miss you."
