Two suspects have been arrested after reports of robberies in the Orpington area.

Police were called to suspects allegedly stealing personal items from people in the Orpington area on Friday evening (March 10).

The suspects are then alleged to have got onto a train heading to Bromley South.

Officers managed to stop the train to stop and found one of the suspects who was in possession of a knife.

Both were arrested.

Bromley MPS said: “Two suspects had stolen personal items from victims in the Orpington area.

“The suspects got onto a train heading to Bromley South.

“Town Centre officers quickly reacted getting the train stopped.

“They located the suspects one of which was in possession of a knife.

“Both suspects were arrested.

“Your Bromley Town Centre officers making pro-active arrests all in one night.

“The same evening, two robbery suspects tried to flee the Orpington area by train but were caught by officers.”
