A woman from Bexley is making moves across the globe after ditching the nine to five and focusing her career on social media.
Annabell Newman was born and raised in Bexley and has since moved to Dubai where she works as a full-time content creator.
With TikTok being her main source of income, Annabell gets millions of views every single week and has more than 270,000 loyal followers.
She has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world, including McDonalds, Fenty Beauty, Starbucks and Adidas, and recently starred in a global MTV show called ‘Love at first lie’, which aired in dozens of countries, including the United Kingdom and the USA.

Annabell entered the realm of social media when she was 26, as she quit her job at Warner Brothers and decided to put in “all of her efforts” into becoming a social media star.
Annabell told the News Shopper: “When I worked at Warner Brothers, I was also doing social media bits on the side.
“I worked with Missguided and food delivery platforms, and thought, ‘what would happen if I put all of my efforts into social media’.
“So then I quit my job, gave it all of my effort, and I have managed to make it my full time career.”
Although the life of a TikTok star may seem like a breeze, Annabell says it still has its “ups and downs” as there is a lot more work that goes on behind the cameras.
She explained: “I technically work seven days a week – even if I go on holiday, I still have to work and post online.
“It is such fun work, but it is very time consuming and never ends.
“It’s a lot of work that people don’t see - editing, contracts, finances, negotiations, emails, chasing for payments and no set salary every month.”
Last year, Annabell and her now husband Joe starred in the MTV show Love At First Lie, which involved the couple battling out against other couples to find out which relationships were legitimate and which were fake.
Annabell added: “It was a hard game; we were living in a big villa where there were 24-hour cameras, similar to Love Island.
“We were quite lucky because if you were in a real couple then everyone is looking at the relationships and pulling them apart.
“But nobody actually ever questioned us, and we made it all the way nearly until the end.
“The host, Tori Spelling, was calling us the ‘sweethearts of the show’, as we were the only couple that weren’t voted out until the very end.
“I did have reservations on doing a reality show but it was an opportunity to work with MTV that I couldn’t miss and the fact I got to do it with my husband also really helped because doing it alone would have been a lot more scary.”
Despite following her dreams and building an exciting future for the rising Tiktok star, Annabell still returns back to Bexley to spend time with her family and friends.
Annabell said: “I usually come home two or three times a year, for things like Christmas and the UK summer.
“It is so nice to be home, it’s always so hectic and i end up being out every day as I have to catch up with all my friends and family.
“I have had so much opportunity so far and can’t believe the people I have worked with.
“If you want to go and experience other cultures, go, because you can always go home.
“Home will always be there, but having different experiences are worth it – you only get one life.”
