A man has died after a crash in Thamesmead.
The incident between a pedestrian and a car happened in Eastern Way at 5.15am today (February 17).
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a man injured.
Despite their efforts to save him, the man died at the scene.
Road closures are currently in place near the junction with Yarnton Way.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
No arrests have been made as police enquiries continue.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 05.15am on Friday, 17 February to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian on Eastern Way, near the junction with Yarnton Avenue, Thamesmead.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended but despite their best efforts the male pedestrian - no further details - was pronounced dead at the scene.
“Road closures remain in place.
“The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
“No arrests; enquiries continue.
“Anyone with information that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD1003/17Feb.”
