- The victim is 24-year-old Kai McGingley, who was from Southwark.
- Police were called at approximately 8.50pm on Thursday, February 9 to reports of shots fired in Pembroke Road, Erith.
- A man was found a short distance away in Hillside, suffering a gunshot injury.
- Paramedics arrived but a man died at the scene from his injuries soon after.
- Anyone with further information that could help police should contact them quoting crime reference number CAD7135/9Feb.
- Metropolitan Police say that no arrests have been made at this stage and Pembroke Road is currently cordoned off for further investigation.
- Locals say they heard multiple bangs in the area at the time that the shooting was reported to police and another witness says the victim was chased by four men in balaclavas who hit his car with their vehicle.
