A man, who was crushed to death by a telescopic urinal, has been identified as a maintenance worker from Beckenham.
Kevin Holding, 60, was killed at Cambridge Circus on January 27 after becoming stuck underneath a pop-up public urinal he was working on.
He was pronounced dead outside the Palace Theatre at 3.40pm more than two hours after being trapped.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as compression asphyxia, as reported by the BBC.
The court heard that he was identified by his Oyster card, which later lead to showing he was employed by Hi-tech Washroom Solutions.
Emergency services reached the scene at 1.05pm but there was a delay in the arrival of a vehicle to help lift the urinal, until about 3.15pm, the inquest heard.
Pop-up toilets are stored underground and raised hydraulically to street level at night for people to use, in an attempt to discourage street urination.
