Police are appealing for help to identify a man they want to speak to following a burglary in Lewisham.
Police were called to a home in Hurstbourne Road in Forest Hill on December 14, 2022, at around 4.30pm.
A man had forced his way into the property by breaking through the front door - before he was confronted by the home occupant.
The occupant, a young woman, was not injured but was left “incredibly frightened” by the experience.
No property was taken and the woman was uninjured.
Police have now released images captured on the video doorbell of a man they want to identify in connection with the incident.
Detective Constable Gerald Baffoe-Bonnie said: “This was a frightening experience for a young woman, who should have been safe in her home.
“We have carried out extensive enquiries to try and identify this man, but we need your help.
“Do you recognise him? Did you see him in the area that afternoon?
“Burglary is a particularly invasive crime, and the effects are long lasting and can run far deeper than a loss of property.
“We are determined to tackle these offences head on.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101 quoting the reference CAD 4689/14Dec22.
