Greenwich Council has announced that children can get free lunches at Greenwich libraries and leisure centres this half-term.
Any child in the Royal Greenwich borough will be entitled to this scheme with packed lunches being provided throughout the week.
The scheme will be rolled out from February 13 until February 17 during the half term week.
Here’s a list of everywhere in Greenwich offering free lunches to Greenwich children
Woolwich Library and Thamesmead Leisure Centre
12pm every day from February 13-17
Eltham Centre and Plumstead Centre
12pm on February 13, 15 and 17
Greenwich Centre
12pm on February 14 and 16
Plumstead APC
2pm on February 13 and 16
Woolwich Adventure Play, Glyndon Adventure Play and Meridian Adventure Play
2pm on February 14 and 16
Coldharbour Adventure Play
2pm on February 13 and 15
Cabinet Member for Children and Young People Cllr Matt Morrow, said: “Lunches are free in Royal Greenwich for any child that needs one, it’s as simple as that.
“We’re making it easy for families to have a fun and healthy half-term because there are no forms to fill out on the day and there’s no need to register beforehand either, you can just turn up at lunch time and get your packed lunch.
“Our libraries have loads of amazing things going on during half-term too, so there will plenty to get involved in afterwards.”
