- Blackwall Tunnel was closed for around eight hours due to an emergency services incident.

- Police were called around midday to reports of a man ontop of the Blackwall Tunnel in Greenwich. There were concerns for his welfare.
- The tunnel was closed in both directions but reopened southbound first, followed by northbound at around 8.30pm

- Bus services were being diverted and further delays were in Greenwich and the surrounding areas.
- The man was brought down from the top of the tunnel at around 8.30pm and traffic began moving again shortly later.
- He was arrested and taken into police custody on suspicion of "causing a public nuisance".
