RADIO gardener Doug Goodyear paid a visit to Bromley Conservative Club, in Elmfield Road, Bromley, to give some green-fingered advice and raise money for charity.
The presenter of Radio Kent's version of gardeners' question time showed slides of the gardens at Hever Castle, Kent, where he worked as head gardener.
He also held an open forum for members of the club, who asked him questions about how they could cure their sick plants.
Club member Val Carroll said: “We all had a wonderful evening hearing about Doug's work. And it was well worth it because we raised £420 for St Christopher's Hospice.”
