A Coca-Cola factory in Sidcup was evacuated last night after a hydrochloric acid leak at the plant.
Around 200 workers evacuated from the factory on Cray Road before London Fire Brigade arrived.
They were called at 8.39pm and managed to isolate the leak at around 11.30pm.
Last night, Cray Road was shut in both directions between A223 Crittals Corner and A211 Sidcup Hill due to the incident.
Firefighters stayed at the factory throughout the night taking readings of the air to check for chemicals.
Nobody was injured in the chemical incident.
The incident was handed over to onsite management at 5.26am.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “London firefighters dealt with a chemical incident at a factory on Cray Road in Sidcup.
“There was a leak of hydrochloric acid at the plant.
“It was isolated at around 11:30pm “Firefighters remained at the scene throughout the night taking readings of chemicals in the air.
“Around 200 people evacuated the building before the Brigade arrived.
“There are no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 2039 and the incident was handed over to onsite management at 0526.”
