A cyclist has been taken to hospital after crashing into a lamppost in Lewisham.
Police were called to Lewisham Road on Saturday (January 14) to reports of a cyclist in collision with a lamppost.
Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service.
The cyclist, a 19-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
The latest update from the Metropolitan Police states that the cyclist injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
On Saturday, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called to Lewisham Road, SE13, on Saturday, 14 January to reports of a cyclist in collision with a lamppost.
“Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS).
“The cyclist, a 19-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.
“His injuries have been assessed as life-threatening.”
The latest update from the Metropolitan Police said: “Lewisham Rd cyclist injuries are not life-threatening or life changing.”
