A man has been charged after a number of cars were set on fire in Camberwell.
Nerijus Butkys, of Jephson Street in Camberwell was charged yesterday (January 12) with four counts of arson.
The 30-year-old will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, January 12.
Police are investigating several incidents of car fires that took place between December 24 and January 10.

Butkys was arrested on suspicion of arson on Tuesday and he was taken to a south London police station.

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “A man is due in court after being charged in connection with a linked series of car fires in Camberwell.
“Nerijus Butkys, 30 (14.09.92), of Jephson Street, SE5 was charged on Wednesday, 11 January with four counts of arson.
“He will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Thursday, 12 January.
“The charges follow an investigation by detectives into a series of car fires that took place in the Camberwell area between Saturday, 24 December 2022 and Tuesday, 10 January.”
