A neighbour of Taiwo Balogun has set up a crowd funder to raise money for the family of the Bexley mother.
In light of the discovery of a body which police believe to be Taiwo Balogun, 53, who went missing on December 1, a neighbour has set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds to support her family.
The GoFundMe page creator, Ayse Ripley, said: “She’s got three sons at home and so I just want to do something to help them right now.
“I’ve known them for seven years and I don’t think they have any other family in the UK, so I just want to make sure they’re alright.”

Ayse said that the news came as a shock to her and others in the community.
Ayse said: “I’m gutted, it’s heart-breaking, she’s never gone missing in the seven years I’ve known her.
“Honestly when she went missing, I held out hope that I’d see her walking down the street or at the shops and it’s just devastating.”
Ayse said she’s received a lot of support from neighbours who knew Taiwo, as well as her own family and circle of friends who have been equally moved by the news.
She added: “Neighbours have donated, family, friends, just so many people and a lot of people are trying to do what they can to help.
“She was a kind person and I really got on with her. I remember one Christmas she ordered my seven-year-old son a PS5 because I wasn’t able to get it for him.
“That was the kind of person she was and I just want to repay the favour and do something for her family in return.”

Ayse said her goal is to raise £3,000 to help her family cover the cost of bills and funeral expenses during this difficult time.
The page is currently at £680 and Ayse hopes that they can increase the figure over the next few weeks.
She added: “I just want to do this for them and give them some financial help towards bills, funeral costs, anything that they may need.
“My heart goes out to them I can’t imagine how they must be feeling right now, and I want to show my support.”
