A beauty business in Swanley has been shortlisted for The UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2023 for Best in Aesthetics.

Simpy You business owner Claire Burt began practising beauty six years ago but recently added aesthetics to her services after studying with Empire Academy of Aesthetics in 2020.

Claire said: “I’ve been in beauty for six years; I did have my own clinic in Swanley, but recently became home-based.

“I’ve been doing beauty for years, but I learned how to do aesthetics like needlework, Botox and B12 treatments a couple of years ago.”

Finalists will attend the award ceremony in Birmingham of April 2022, which will be attended by businesses of all sizes from across the UK.

Claire said: “It has taken a lot of hard work to get here and of course I couldn’t have done it without all my lovely loyal clients.

“I cannot wait for the awards ceremony in April. I cannot believe I have been shortlisted for this award, what better way to start the new year.”

Claire told News Shopper that she is keen to learn new skills and expand her services, with plans to start a hair extension course this year.

She added: “I’m always keen to learn new skills and expand what I can do, I always want to learn something new.

“I’m so thrilled to be a finalist, I hope it will continue to bring business for me.

"I’m very hopeful for the future of my business for 2023.”
