2023 is set to be a big year for the London transport network, with plenty of new changes set to take place across the next 12 months.
It comes after Transport for London (TfL) got an extra slice of funding from the government to improve the capital's transport links.
Last year saw some of the biggest changes ever to the network, with the opening of the long-awaited Elizabeth Line seeing transport to central London even easier.
This year will see even more major changes taking place from the expansion of the ULEZ, speed limits and fare rise, the TfL's new plans hope to help the city.

The biggest changes to London's Transport Network in 2023
TfL fare rises
January is the expected month that will see TfL announce a rise in fares for the network.
The rise comes amid government bailouts during the pandemic with a document from the TfL sharing: "Our passenger income is set to the Department for Transport’s revenue scenario and includes its planning assumption for an annual national fare increase of four per cent in March 2023 and March 2024.”
Greener cars
You may have already seen them on the streets of London with the scheme kicking off on January 1 but now every new car licensed as a private hire vehicle needs to be plugged in or electric.
More 4G and 5G-ready mobile coverage is rolling out on the Tube network 👌🏾

Scrappage scheme opens
As part of the Ultra Low Emissions Zone (ULEZ) expansion, the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan launched a new £110 million vehicle scrappage scheme.
The scheme will give grants to applicants who want to scrap or retrofit their older vehicles for cleaner greener modes of transport.
More 20mph zones
By April, TfL would have put forward their plans to lower the speed limit in London amid efforts to cut road deaths.
Transport Network shared that nearly half of London's roads now have a 20mph speed limit including Camden, Hackney and more.
Elizabeth Line will be finished
By May the Elizabeth Line is set to be finished, with services running on their peak timetable and increasing their trains per hour.
Trains will be running between Paddington and Whitechapel and will mark the end and completion of the Crossrail.
ULEZ Expansion
In August the ULEZ will expand across all of Greater London, marking one of the biggest changes to the network system this year.
The expansion is in aid to improve the quality of air in the capital and will see drivers pay £12.50 a day to drive in the capital.
