To get the inside track on the best places to eat, reporter Emily Davison took to a popular Hither Green Facebook group to ask for recommendations from those who know the area best.
So here are some of the most recommended places to eat out in Hither Green, according to its residents.
Four Bowls (located in Arlo and Moe)
Four Bowls was one of the most recommended restaurants by Facebook commenters, with the restaurant recommended several times.
Four Bowls is a pop-up restaurant located in the equally popular café Arlo and Moe in Springbank Road.
The food is a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine, inspired by family recipes, according to the company website.
The restaurant is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 6-10pm for eat in and takeaway.

Sapore Vero
If you like Italian food Sapore Vero came highly recommended by many, the restaurant has also garnered 237 reviews on Google with a 4.5 average rating.
A number of Google reviews particularly recommended the ravioli, along with the tirimusu.
The restaurant is situated a short walk from Hither Green Station. with prices starting from just £3.95.

Milk
Milk is a popular spot for breakfast or brunch in Hither Green, with a number of Google reviews recommending the venue on account of its good coffees and decent portions.
The restaurant has a mix of breakfast and brunch options from waffles, avocado toast, and egg dishes.
However the restaurant also has a different evening menu if you aren’t a morning person.
Milk is open weekly between 8am-4pm on weekdays, 9am-4pm on Saturdays and 9.30am-4pm on Sundays.

Great for anyone who enjoys Vietnamese cuisine, Café Green has a 4.7 average rating on Google, with a number of reviews praising it for its reasonable prices and large portions.

Fera Mediterranean Grill and Mezze Bar
This restaurant came recommended several times on Facebook and similarly it has received 210 reviews on Google, with one reviewer calling it “one of the best Turkish restaurants in South London".
Particularly the lamb dishes received the most reviews, with others rating it for its value for money, service and complimentary bread.

If you have a sweet tooth, Le Delice is a restaurant you should try.
