Police have released CCTV footage of a violent robbery in Lewisham which left a woman in hospital after she was beaten on the floor.
On October 20 at around 9.30am, a stranger approached a woman and attacked her after she had parked her car in an alleyway just off Lewisham Way.
When she got out of the car, he appeared behind her and punched her in the face, causing her to drop to the floor.
While she was on the ground, he continued to beat her.
He stole her bag and fled the scene, heading towards New Cross Road.
She was left with facial injuries and was treated at hospital following the attack.
Police say the suspect is a man around six foot two inches tall and was wearing a parker coat, black tracksuit and bottoms with white stripes down the side.
He also wore a balaclava during the incident.
