Sometimes all you need is a day to act like a big kid to make it all better, right?

I went to Babylon Park in Camden - one of London’s coolest indoor theme parks – and did exactly that.

I have to be honest, the theme park probably is aimed more at children and families than it is myself, but I belly-laughed, went on rides, and played arcade games.

Can’t ask for much more than that… There’s something for everyone at Babylon Park, it’s a fun day out for families, and most importantly it’s free to enter.

There’s a café with an array of food, snacks and treats – with pizza, nuggets, candy floss, popcorn, chocolate and waffles to name a few.

There’s soft play for the younger ones, and there’s arcade games and rides which suit all ages.

From the second I walked through the door, I felt removed from reality and into a futuristic parallel universe full of fun.

We started off in the café where my friend had nuggets and I had a pizza.

Both were really reasonably priced, filling, and made-to-order.

We paired our mains with a Fanta Frozen – the biggest treat of all – and were then suitably full to go and play some games.

We had a look round, contemplated which of the large array of activities to do first, and then decided to go on the roller coaster.

We were in front of some kids, maybe aged four, and behind some adults with families – so when I say the park caters for all and is fun for the whole family, that’s what I mean.

I’ve never been on a rollercoaster indoors before, and there was something weirdly thrilling about whizzing round above the games and the other rides.

Next we headed to the drop tower, which I wanted to go on to make myself feel better about the fact that I’d chickened out of the huge one at Winter Wonderland this year, but unfortunately it was out of order and being serviced.

It looked fun, and it looked good for those who want a little bit of thrill but are too scared for the big thrill.

Next we went on a spinning ride, which quite literally, spun us round and round.

We screamed, laughed, felt a bit dizzy, and then decided it was time for some arcade games.

We finished off the day with some candy floss and chocolate back in the café, and left with smiles on our faces, feeling giddy like kids, and wanting to tell every kid, and big kid, to go and have fun there.
