A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after a double shooting in south east London.
Officers attended two firearms incidents five miles apart from each other last night (December 12).
Police were called to reports of an altercation involving a group of men in Brockley just before 9.50pm.
One of the men was reportedly firing a gun into the air in Brockley Rise.
On arrival, police discovered that the suspects left the scene but found numerous shells on the floor.
No injuries were reported.
On the same night just before 11.15pm, police were called to Blackheath after shots were fired through a window.
A teenage boy was found injured by the shards of glass from the window in Dursley Road.
He was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as not life-threatening.
No other reported injuries were reported.
No arrests have been made in connection to both of the incidents.
Officers are now working to establish whether the two incidents are linked.
Anyone who has information that could help police should call on 101 and quote references CAD 6627 or 7068 of 12 December.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police responded to two reports of two firearms discharges in south east London last night.
“Officers were called at 21:52hrs on Monday, 12 December to Brockley Rise SE23 reports of an altercation involving a group of males, one of whom was firing a gun into the air.
“Police responded and conducted an area search but the suspects had left. There were no reports of any injuries.
“Several shell casings were recovered.
“At 23:14hrs the same night, officers were called to Dursley Road SE3 to reports of a firearms discharge.
“A teenage boy was injured by glass after shots were fired through a window.
“He went to hospital; his condition is not life-threatening. There were no other reported injuries.
“There have been no arrests.
“Police are working to establish whether the two incidents are linked.
“Anyone who has information that could help police should call 101 ref CAD 6627 or 7068 of 12 December.”
