South east London has woken up to a blanket of snow this morning, causing travel chaos and delays – but which schools have closed in the area?

Travel disruption has pushed into Monday’s morning rush-hour as yellow warnings of ice, fog and snow are in place for much of the UK.

The Met Office issued the alerts as temperatures were expected to stay well below freezing overnight and combine with wintry showers creating icy conditions.

Commuters and have faced travel chaos on Monday morning as large parts of south east London were hit by ice, fog and snow.

The Met Office issued yellow severe weather alerts due to the wintry conditions.
