A fire which has damaged a warehouse in Belvedere is under investigation.

70 fire fighters and 10 fire engines were called to a warehouse fire in Crabtree Manorway South in Belvedere last night (December 5) at around 8.23pm.

There were no reported injuries.

The fire damaged most of the roof and half of the ground floor of the industrial warehouse.

An internal wall between two industrial units also partly collapsed from the blaze.

The Brigades 999 Control Officers took a total of 14 calls to the incident. The Brigade was called to the scene at 8.23pm attended by crews from Erith, Bexley, Plumstead and the surrounding fire stations.

The fire was under control by 11.21pm.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a warehouse fire on Crabtree Manorway South in Belvedere.

“Half of the ground floor and most of the roof of a two-storey industrial warehouse were damaged by fire.

“An internal wall between two industrial units partially collapsed.

“There were no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade's 999 Control Officers took 14 calls to the blaze.

“The Brigade was called at 2023 and the fire was under control by 2321.

“Fire crews from Plumstead, Erith, Bexley and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
