England lioness Alessia Russo returned to Bromley on Sunday as she turned on the much-loved Christmas lights.
The event was held in Market Square yesterday (November 20) from 12pm until 6pm and saw dozens of Bromley residents enjoy the festive fun.
Lioness Russo was joined by Your Bromley’s Local Hero, Lisa Bird, comedian Lloyd Hollett and host Adam Hoffman to switch on the Christmas lights.
Alessia, who was born in Kent and went to school in Maidstone, played a pivotal role in the Lionnesses' Euros triumph and is best known for winning the hearts of the nation with her unforgettable backheeled goal in the semi-final against Sweden.
The fun-packed day saw performances from local dance and stage schools, rock band Subtle Hustle, Bromley’s Got Talent Winner Oliver Anderson and festive quintet, The Belles.
Bromley’s Christmas market will also be back in the town centre from November 11, promising to bring “fun and celebration” to the town centre with food and drink stalls and rides.
