Shortly after 8.10pm on Friday (November 11) a marked police car was involved in a pursuit of a stolen car on Eltham Palace Road.
The driver of the stolen car ran off after it crashed into another car on Middle Park Avenue.
He was then arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and taking a car without the owner’s consent.
He has been taken into custody.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Shortly after 20.10hrs on Friday, November 11 a marked police vehicle was involved in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Eltham Palace Road, SE9.
“The driver of the stolen vehicle ran off after the car collided with a member of the public's car in Middle Park Avenue.
“He was arrested a short time later on suspicion of dangerous driving and taking a vehicle without the owner's consent.
“He has been taken into custody.”
