Bromley’s Christmas lights will be turned on by the England football star Alessia Russo.

Alessia, who was born in Kent and went to school in Maidstone, played a pivotal role in the Lionnesses' Euros triumph and is best known for winning the hearts of the nation with her unforgettable backheeled goal in the semi-final against Sweden.

Alessia will switch on the lights with the winner of Bromley’s Local Hero competition, who will also receive her prizes.
