Friends have paid tribute to a young Arsenal fan and "true gentlemen" after he was stabbed to death in Lewisham.
Gabriel Petrov Stoyanove was rushed to hospital for treatment after being stabbed in Bromley Road at 11.40pm on November 4.
Police believe the 21-year-old was attacked by three men who then fled the scene on foot.
He later died in hospital on Saturday afternoon (November 5).
Gabriel's friends have since helped to set up a GoFundMe in his name.
Donations will go towards helping Gabriel's family pay for his funeral.
One of Gabriel’s friends, who wishes to be kept anonymous, said that Gabriel had a “heart of gold” with his whole life ahead of him.
He explained that Gabriel was a “true gentleman”, who was loved by everyone.
He told the News Shopper: “Me and Gabriel were friends, where a large group of us would go to Arsenal games.
“I knew him for five years.
“My favourite memories with him were going to watch football with each other, home and away.
"He was a part of the family at Arsenal and everyone got on with him really well."
A description of the GoFundMe reads: "We are raising money for Gabriel's family.
"Gabriel was tragically taken from us too soon.
“All donations will be passed onto Gabriel's family during this very tough time for them.
"You were a true gentleman and had a heart of gold with your whole life ahead of you.
"You were well-loved by everyone and will be missed."
Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, who is leading the investigation, said: “We know there were several people in the Bromley Road area who either witnessed this incident or the events leading up to and after this incident.
“I would urge them, along with any road users in the area who may have captured events on dashcam to come forward and speak to police.
“At this early stage we believe the victim was attacked by up to three men, who then fled the scene on foot.
“A young man’s family is grieving following another senseless loss of life to knife violence; please help them get justice and speak to police if you know anything that could help us.”
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at 11.50pm on Friday, 4 November, to a report of a man stabbed in Bromley Road, Downham.
“Officers attended along with colleagues from London Ambulance Service.
“They found a man suffering stab injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment but died during the afternoon of Saturday, 5 November.
“The deceased has been formally identified as 21-year-old Gabriel Petrov Stoyanove.
“There has been no arrest and enquiries into the circumstances continue.
“Anyone with information or any witnesses who are yet to speak with police are asked to call 101, ref 8645/4Nov.
