A woman who was stabbed to death in a flat in Lewisham has been named for the first time as a man who knew her has been charged with murder.
Keisha Christodoulou, 32, was found having been stabbed in a flat in Tanner's Hill just before 3.40pm on Tuesday (November 1).
Leon Murray, of Tanner's Hill, will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates' Court today (November 3).
The 33-year-old is charged with murder.
Police were called to the flat after concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman.
Officers, ambulance crews and London's Air Ambulance attended.
Keisha's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist police officers.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 15:39hrs on Tuesday, 1 November after concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman at an address in Tanner’s Hill, SE8.
"Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and London's Air Ambulance.
"A 32-year-old woman was found with stab wounds. Despite the efforts of the emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Keisha Christodoulou.
"Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers from the Met's Specialist Crime Command.
"The victim and the defendant were known to each other."
