A 35-year-old man has died five days later after a crash with a car in Sidcup.
The incident between a car and a pedestrian happened in Halfway Street on October 14 at 11.20am.
Officers and London Ambulance Service crews were called to the scene.
The man was found with a head injury and taken to hospital for treatment.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said today that he died on October 19.
His family have been informed and are being supported by officers.
The driver of the car, a 19-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving.
Officers say he remains on bail until early November.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said on October 15: "Officers are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision in Sidcup.
"Police were called at 11:22hrs on Friday, 14 October to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Halfway Street.
"Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. The pedestrian, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.
"His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
"The driver of the car, a 19-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and drug driving. He was later bailed pending further enquiries.
"Detectives from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses, or other drivers with dash cam footage, to call the appeal line on 0208 285 1574. Alternatively, call 101 quoting CAD 2708/14Oct."
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said today: “Sadly the pedestrian, a 35-year-old man, died in hospital yesterday (October 19).
“His family have been informed and are being supported by officers.
“The driver remains on bail until a date in early November.”
