Four males have been arrested after a group was allegedly caught shooting at wildlife with air rifles in Sidcup.
The four men were detained in Foots Cray Meadows on Sunday, October 16.
Police were first called at 3.38pm.
One was found with an air rifle and arrested while a police helicopter tracked down the other three.
Another air gun was located nearby by a police dog.
All four were released on bail but are banned from entering the Foots Cray area.
We have contacted the Metropolitan Police for more information.
Sidcup Police tweeted: “Four males detained by @MPSFirearms and @NPASSouthEast in possession of air rifles allegedly shooting at wildlife in Footscray meadows.
“@MPSSidcup and @MPSStMarysRY “All 4 males were arrested after one was found in possession of a gun and @NPASLondon directed officers to the 3 outstanding males.
“A gun recovery dog located a further air weapon nearby.
“All four now have bail conditions not to enter the Foots Cray area.
“@MPSSidcup and @MPSStMarysRY.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 15:38hrs on Sunday, 16 October to reports of a group of people in possession of air rifles in Footscray Meadows, Sidcup.
"Due to the nature of the incident, firearms officers attended with support from the police helicopter (NPAS) and local officers.
"Four males [no further details] were arrested and taken into custody.
"Two firearms were recovered and secured."
