Police are looking to speak to a man linked to 18 burglaries that have occurred across London.

Daniel Walton, 39, is wanted by police in connection with these burglary offences which have occurred since June 26, 2022.

The burglaries have happened in Enfield, Haringey, South Woodford, Hackney, Wandsworth and one offence in Essex.

Police have said that the homes targeted are usually empty, whether it be that they are temporarily unoccupied or when the owners go away on holiday.

The crimes have also occurred during the daytime.

Police have reassured the public that “significant work and resources are being put into finding Walton.”

If you see Walton call 999 immediately but police say not to approach him.

PC Orlando Livio, from the North Area Basic Command Unit which covers Enfield and Haringey, said: “Burglary is a horrible offence which can leave victims feeling vulnerable and unsafe in their own home.

“I want to reassure people that there is significant work and resources being put into finding Daniel Walton, but we are asking the public for their help.

“If you recognise Walton or know where he is then please get in touch.

“There are some simple steps you can take to help prevent coming a victim of burglary including ensuring your doors and windows are locked when you leave the house, or making sure valuable items are not easily visible from outside.”

A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: “Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to following a series of burglaries across London.

“Daniel Walton is sought in connection with 18 burglary offences dating back to 26 June 2022.

“The offences have taken place across a wide range of areas including Enfield, Haringey, South Woodford, Hackney and Wandsworth in London, and one offence in Essex.

“The 39-year-old seems to target properties that are left empty, either temporarily or when people go away, and he commits his crimes in daylight hours.

“Members of the public are advised not to approach Walton but to call 999 with an immediate sighting.

“If you have any information about his whereabouts then please call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD4269/12Oct.

“Information can also be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers.
