A TRAINING officer has been given a medal for completing 20 years at an ambulance service.
Alan Taylor, of Cheyne Walk, Meopham, was presented with a Queen's Long Service and Good Conduct Medal after working for the London Ambulance Service.
The 45-year-old has worked as a training officer at the Bromley Education Centre and the Croydon Ambulance Station, training paramedics and ambulance technicians.
He was among 30 members of staff who were honoured at the ceremony for long service.
Mr Taylor said: "I am very proud to receive this medal of recognition for 20 years' service and good conduct."
Chief executive Peter Bradley presented the awards.
He said: "Twenty years of service in any organisation is a long time, but in our service, the busiest ambulance service in the world, it is a special achievement.
"I respect all the staff who achieve this very important milestone and I also appreciate the behind the scenes support of their families."
