A man from Greenwich has been ordered to pay a fine and complete unpaid work, after he was caught drink-driving in Chislehurst.
Neil Dempsey, of Woolwich Road in Greenwich, was stopped while driving a Vauxhall Zafira in Hill View Road on June 18, 2022.
There were 117 microgrammes of alcohol in a sample of 100 millilitres of Dempsey’s breath - which exceeds the prescribed limit.
The 47-year-old was ordered to pay £199 during a hearing at Bexley Magistrates' Court on July 22, 2022.
This includes £114 to fund victim services, and costs of £85. He must complete 140 hours’ worth of unpaid work by July 21, 2023, which will be supervised by an officer.
Dempsey was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving license for 24 months from July 6, 2022.
The drink-driver has been ordered to pay £40 per month commencing August 19, 2022.
