FIVE hectares of hay have been left damaged after a grass fire in West Wickham.
The fire broke out in Layhams Road at 4.45pm yesterday (July 29).
There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire was under control just after 5.40pm.
Two fire engines from Addington and Woodside fire stations attended the scene.
A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters were called to a grass fire on Layhams Road in West Wickham this afternoon.
“Around five hectares of cut hay was damaged by fire.
“There were no reports of any injuries.
“The Brigade was called at 1645 and the fire was under control by 1743.
“Two fire engines from Addington and Woodside fire stations attended the scene.”
