A MAN in his 50s has died after being found unresponsive in Orpington.
Officers were called to Chelsfield Lane just after 12.15pm yesterday (July 25).
London Ambulance Service crews also attended.
The man was pronounced dead shortly before 1pm.
His death is being treated as unexpected, but not suspicious.
His next-of-kin has been informed.
Officers say a post-mortem examination will take place as soon as possible.
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 12:17hrs on Monday, 25 July to a report of an unresponsive man in Chelsfield Lane, Orpington.
"Officers and the LAS attended.
"The man, aged in his 50s, was pronounced dead at 12:57hrs.
"His death is being treated as unexpected, but not suspicious.
"His next-of-kin have been informed.
"A post-mortem examination will take place as soon as possible.
"A file will be prepared for the coroner."
