Saturday's Ziggy Stardust family fun day event on Beckenham Green was as exciting and colourful as if the man himself had been there!
With all sections of the community taking part, including primary school children’s artwork and senior school students’ music, tribute artiste, other entertaining acts, numerous stalls, including plants, pottery, a variety of food and many more, plus a mini fairground everyone's needs were met. Organisers were inundated with compliments. Including those from LBB Mayor Cllr Hannah Gray, her Consort Cllr Colin Hitchins and attendees who also thoroughly enjoyed the day.
And just when you thought there couldn’t be anymore squeezed into the fabulous day, there was also a High Street trail to spot 12 Ziggy dolls and prizes, bringing even more trade and interest into Beckenham. A great day was had by all!
Organisers – Chloe Ross of CCARA, Kat Webb of The Walking Tours of Bowie’s Beckenham, Jackie Groundsell of 1230 The Women’s Company.
