A SCHOOL in Orpington will close for two days due to a red weather warning.
Kemnal Technology College, in Sevenoaks Way, has taken the decision to close the school on Monday, July 18, and Tuesday, July 19.
It comes after the Met Office issued a red extreme heat warning, meaning a risk to life is likely as temperatures could hit 40 degrees.
This highest warning, covering London and parts of central England, warns of widespread impacts on people's lives.

Students and staff will work remotely on both days and will return to face-to-face teaching on Wednesday, July 20.
In a letter to parents, the school apologised for the late notice but says it’s in the "best interest" of the school community.
Work will be set on Google Classrooms and students will be expected to follow their timetables.
We have contacted Kemnal Technology College for a comment regarding the closure.
