A thief from Mottingham who stole £400 worth of food from a Co-op store in Bromley and meat from a BP garage in Mottingham has been jailed.
Jesse Rye appeared before Croydon Magistrates’ Court on June 14, 2022 charged with three offences.
These included the theft of meat from a BP garage in Mottingham on April 15, the theft of £300 worth of food from a Co-op store in Green Lane in Bromley on April 15, and the theft of £100 worth of chocolate from the same Co-op store on April 16.
Rye, 36, was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison for stealing £300 worth of food from the Co-op and 12 weeks in prison for stealing £100 worth of chocolate from the Co-op.
Rye, of Belvoir Close in Mottingham, was given a concurrent 12-week prison sentence for stealing meat from the BP garage, and was also ordered to pay a £128 surcharge to fund victim services for this offence.
This must be paid by July 12, 2022.
