Five people have been arrested after a chemical substance was sprayed in the communal area of flats in Beckenham.
A disturbance was reported at the flats in Beckenham Road at around 7.20am on Thursday.
Police discovered that a chemical had been sprayed in the communal area.
A "small number" of people were treated at the scene.
Five people have been arrested on suspicion of affray.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 07:20hrs on Thursday, 30 June to reports of a disturbance at a residential address on Beckenham Road.
"Officers attended and discovered that a chemical substance had been sprayed in a communal area.
"A small number of people were treated at the scene.
"Five people were arrested on suspicion of affray.
"Enquiries continue."
