A man has been arrested after a stabbing in Falconwood yesterday.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Lingfield Crescent at around 4.50pm after reports that someone had been stabbed.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital but his condition is said to not be serious.
A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH.
He was also taken to hospital for a mental health assessment.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the attack.
A spokesperson for “Police were called at approximately 16:55hrs on Saturday, 25 June to reports of a man in possession of a knife and a man stabbed in Lingfield Crescent, SE9.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended.
“One man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment to a stab injury – his condition is not serious.
“A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of GBH – he was taken to hospital for a mental health assessment.
“Enquiries into the circumstances continue.”
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called yesterday (Saturday 26) at 4.52pm to reports of an incident in Lingfield Crescent, SE9.
“We sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a response car and a team leader.
“We treated two people and the scene before taking a man to a London major trauma centre.”
