Halifax has announced the permanent closure of its branch in Penge.
The British bank company will close its doors in Penge High Street on August 10.
It comes as Halifax found that the majority of its customers are using online banking only.
The bank considers which other branches can be used nearby before deciding on the closure of any branch.
Halifax announced that 79 per cent of Penge customers now use online and telephone banking.
Figures also show that 57 per cent of Halifax Penge bankers have been using different branches.
The nearest Halifax branches for Penge bankers are at 144 Rushey Green, in Catford, and 104-108 Bromley High Street.
