1. Hall Place & Gardens
Hall Place & Gardens is rich in fascinating history and welcomes visitors all year round with a range of exhibitions and public events.
The grounds are a perfect venue for weddings and celebrations, as well as lots of space for an afternoon stroll.
A Trip Advisor reviewer said: “Having lived locally for a number of years I had kept saying I should visit.
“The gardens have free parking and are free to enter.
“The formal flower gardens are pretty and relaxing to walk through.
“Then there is a large flat park area ideal for picnics, plenty of families creating a safe atmosphere.
“The nice cafe with seating beside a pretty river Cray, the sound of the water is so relaxing.”
Another labelled it as a “beautiful historic building with gorgeous gardens.”

2. Jambs Owls
Located at Hall Place & Gardens, visitors can take time out of their day to visit a parliament of beautiful owls.
Run by Jambs Owls who look after visitor-friendly barn owls, eagle owls and many other species, hear about how owls survive in the wild, what they like to eat and their nocturnal habits.
A reviewer said: “Took two 3 year olds to see the owls at Christmas.
“Just the right amount to keep them occupied, there were things there for them to play with.
“Everyone there was very friendly & knowledgeable.
“Only £4 for adults & under 3’s are free, definitely value for money.
“We will be going back in the new year.”
Another said: “We had a fantastic time at this gem of a place.
“The guide was so knowledgeable and all the staff friendly and passionate about owls.
“We loved being able to hold them and learn about their characteristics and habits.
“It is a great place and a must to visit when you visit Hall Place.”

3. Bexley Brewery
Opened in September 2014, Bexley Brewery produce a large range of real ales.
They use the best quality English malted barleys alongside traditional Kent grown hops and some amazing ones from Australia, New Zealand and the USA to produce beers of exceptional flavour.
Visitors can take a tour around the brewery and taste the different types of beer produced there.
A reviewer said: “I am currently drinking this brewery's Spike Island stout.
“I am probably the happiest I've been all year.
“The staff are friendly, ordering and collecting is easy, and the beer is sublime. What more can I say?”
Another said: “Went here with my mate as it's pretty local to me.
“We wanted nice beer and got exactly that.
“We were treated to lots of Bullion green hop beer, a limited run that tasted great and fresh. I will gladly support local breweries such as this.
“Looking forward to the IPA which there wasn't any when I went.
“Staff were very friendly and informative.”

4. Saddles Riding Centre
Saddles is a fabulous location for Bexley residents and horse lovers, as this riding club doesn’t just offer equestrian lessons, but birthday parties, celebrations, beach rides and so much more.
Saddles offer riding lessons from the age of four with a wide range of activities and coaches for everyone.
Junior private lessons start from just £25 per 30 minutes.
A TripAdvisor reviewer said: “Instructors are friendly, patient, and supportive.
“I started as a nervous newbie.
“The horses are well kept, sweet and clearly happy.
“Could not recommend saddles enough.!
Another called it an “excellent and supportive riding school”.
