A 16-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Lewisham.
Police were flagged down at Falmouth Close today (May 16) at around 9.30am.
Officers and ambulance crews attended the scene and found a boy with stab injuries.
He was then taken to a north London hospital.
Police say his injuries are thought not to be life-threatening or life changing.
No arrests have been made following the incident.
Police enquires are ongoing.
A section 60 order is now in place in the north of South Circular Road (A205).
This means police can stop and search anyone within this area.
It comes after Lewisham MPS announced the order on Twitter today (May 16) at around 12.15pm.
The order will last until 1.30am tomorrow (May 17).
Anyone with information should call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting CAD 1743/16MAY.
Information can also be reported anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
A spokesperson for Met Police said: “Police were flagged down at about 09:30hrs on Monday, 16 May to reports of a stabbing in Falmouth Close, SE12.
“Officers found a 16-year-old boy suffering from stab injuries.
“The London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended.
“He has been taken to a north London hospital.
“His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
“No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.
“Additional search powers under Section 60 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 have been authorised to cover the area north of South Circular Road (A205) in Lewisham.
The authorisation runs from 10:30hrs on Monday, 16 May until 01.30hrs on Tuesday, 17 May.
“Additional police patrols will be taking place in the area.
