POLICE have been given additional search powers in Lewisham after an earlier incident.
A section 60 order is in place in the north of South Circular Road (A205).
This means police can stop and search anyone within this area.
It comes after Lewisham MPS announced the order on Twitter today (May 16) at around 12.15pm.
The order will last until 1.30am tomorrow (May 17).

Additional police patrols will also be in place.
The News Shopper has contacted Met Police for further information regarding the section 60 order.

The authorisation runs until 1.30am on Tue, 17 May.
Additional police patrols will be taking place in the area.
