THE driver of a BMW has been fined more than £1,300 after being caught speeding double the road limit in Greenwich.
Isabel Majecha, of Pembrooke Road in Erith, was caught speeding at 40mph in Woolwich Road, which has a 20mph speed limit, on February 27, 2021.
The 55-year-old denied the offence but was found guilty in her absence during a hearing at Bexley Magistrates’ Court on April 14, 2022.
She was ordered to pay £1,346 which includes a £660 fine, £66 to fund victim services, and costs of £620.
She was also given six points on her driving licence.
The speed was recorded with a Pro Laser 4 camera.
The fine for the offence must be paid by May 31, 2022.
