A man has been charged after armed robberies across five bookmakers in south London.
Brett Mullan, of Wellington Street in Gravesend, has been charged with five counts of robbery and five counts of possessing an imitation firearm.
Employees in all incidents were allegedly threatened with firearms and a man reportedly left with a quantity of cash on all occasions.
No injuries were reported.
Mullan, 51, is due to appear at Barkingside Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, April 26.
He was arrested on April 24 as part of an investigation linked into a series of armed robberies at the following locations:
A bookmakers in Sutton High Street on Monday, April 4.
A bookmakers in Burnt Ash Road, Norwood Junction, on Wednesday, April 13.
A bookmakers in Burnt Ash Road, Norwood Junction, on Monday, April 18.
A bookmarkers in High Street, Lee, on Saturday, April 23.
A bookmarkers in Crayford Road, Crayford, on Sunday, 24 April.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “A man has been charged as part of an investigation by the Met's Flying Squad into a series of armed robberies at bookmakers in south London.
"Brett Mullan, 51 (02.09.71), of Wellington Street, Gravesend, is due to appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, 26 April charged with five counts of robbery and five counts of being in possession of an imitation firearm.
"The charges follow an investigation into a linked series of armed robberies at bookmakers in Lee, Norwood, Sutton and Crayford between Monday, 4 April and Sunday, 24 April.”
A previous statement from the Met Police said: “A 51-year-old man was arrested on Monday, 24 April on suspicion of five counts of robbery.
"He remains in custody at an east London police station.
"His arrest is part of an investigation into a linked series of armed robberies where shop staff were threatened by a man with a firearm at the following locations:

"On all occasions a man left with a quantity of cash and no injuries were reported."
