A Met Police officer attached to the south west command unit has been dismissed after sexually touching two female officers.

PC Nathan Hind has been dismissed without notice after appearing at a misconduct hearing on April 11 and 12 alleged to have breached the standards of professional behaviour in relation to discreditable conduct.

The hearing heard that on four occasions between October 2019 and July 2020, PC Hind touched two female officers in a sexual way without their consent.

Three of the four incidents took place while the officers were on duty.

The panel found the allegations proven at the level of gross misconduct.

PC Hind will now be added to the barred list held by the College of Policing.

Those appearing on the list cannot be employed by police, local policing bodies (PCCs), the Independent Office for Police Conduct or Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary.

Chief Superintendent Elisabeth Chapple, BCU Commander for South West London, said: “No-one should be subjected to unwanted sexual behaviour by anyone, let alone a serving officer, it is just totally unacceptable.

“We expect our officers to uphold the highest standards and we do not want officers in the Met who cannot meet those standards.

“We must also recognise that this case came to light after officers came forward about these incidents and challenged inappropriate actions.

"This case shows we will support those who report wrongdoing by officers, whether the report comes from fellow officers or from members of the public.

"We know that rooting out those who act in this way is crucial to increasing the trust and confidence the public have in the Met and we will continue to take action against those who do not hold the same values we do.”

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Following a proactive investigation by the Met's Directorate of Professional Standards (DPS), a serving officer who sexually touched two female officers has been dismissed without notice.

"PC Nathan Hind, attached to the South West Command Unit, appeared at a misconduct hearing on 11 and 12 April alleged to have breached the standards of professional behaviour in relation to discreditable conduct.

"The hearing heard that, on four occasions between October 2019 and July 2020, PC Hind touched two female officers in a sexual way without their consent.

"Three of the four incidents took place while the officers were on duty.

"After considering all of the evidence, the panel found the allegations proven at the level of gross misconduct and PC Hind was dismissed without notice.

"He will now be added to the barred list held by the College of Policing.

"Those appearing on the list cannot be employed by police, local policing bodies (PCCs), the Independent Office for Police Conduct or Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary."
